The Lux Introsum series was created with 100 ISO 120 film. Each shot was done at night from anywhere from 10 to 50 minute exposures.

The film was then manipulated before, during, and after the processing, using a variety of caustic chemicals and materials, including but not limited to coffee, drain cleaner, oven cleaner, undiluted slide chemistry, salt, etc. The resulting effect was not digitally enhanced, but simply scanned it at incredibly high resolution in order to capture the nuances of the film. The chemicals broke down the individual color layers of the film, causing an incredible mix of bright sumptuous colors. The images invoke the feeling of chemically altered tissue, blood vessels, bronchial pathways, and other natural internal elements growing in similar nature to trees
